Our Impact

As I've moved from diagnosis to managing symptoms created by medications and treatment, and resuming much of "normal" life, I find it harder to prioritize my health from time to time. The programs offered by the Cancer Survivorship program were instrumental in providing tools during the agonizing initial diagnosis that helped me manage pain and stress. Now participating in a program series - like the sound baths with the wonderful Hilary Camino - offers healing benefits and the opportunity to prioritize my health in a way that is accessible and affordable. Thank you!

Acupuncture was not something I would have made time for or spent money on, but it ended up being something that I looked forward to, and that helped a lot during my surgery recovery. I plan to use more of the program's services in the coming months and years, especially those where I can connect with other people in the community.

I am convinced that the weekly acupuncture sessions reduced my cancer symptoms by a great deal. Amy Clements asked me about them each week and modified my treatment as needed. Having this expense covered is such a huge gift!
