Fishing Day 2026
Registration opens in FEbruary!
Stripping for a Cure is an annual women’s fly fishing event held on the iconic Snake River in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Anglers fish from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on stretches from Pacific Creek to West Table, guided by professional outfitters and fueled by community spirit. With wildlife contests, prizes, river-side lunch, and an evening awards dinner, it’s a day full of joy and purpose.
Fishing Day is the heart of Stripping for a Cure, but it’s only the beginning of our “why.” Each year, women come together on the Snake River to share a day of camaraderie, connection, and unforgettable moments on the water—but beneath the fun and pink flies lies a deeper purpose. Our mission is to support local oncology patients and their caregivers both financially and holistically during one of the most challenging chapters of their lives. Fishing Day helps make that possible.

Event FAQs
Do I need to be an expert angler to participate in Stripping for a Cure?
Not at all! All angler levels are welcome. We work with the top guides in the Tetons to ensure that anglers of all abilities enjoy their day on the Snake River. Our participants get points for fish, as well as wildlife and bird sightings.
Do I need to already have a partner to participate in Stripping for a Cure?
You do not. Although some anglers sign up as pairs, we always have several solo participants that we match up (guides take two people per boat). New friends are often made over a shared love of fishing and philanthropy!
Do I need my own rod? Flies? Fishing license?
No. You may bring your own rod and reel; however, if you are new to fly fishing and don’t have gear, your guide will gladly provide a rod and reel for the day. Pink flies are included in your gift bags and your guide will select and provide any other flies needed.
You must purchase your Wyoming fishing license before Fishing Day 2026. You can purchase your license at any fly fishing shop or online. You MUST have your fishing license on your person on Friday.
